Manager, Data Infrastructure

Recursion is a clinical-stage TechBio company focused on decoding biology to industrialize drug discovery through its Recursion Operating System (OS), a platform integrating vast biological, chemical, and patient-centric datasets. The Manager, Data Infrastructure will lead a team to standardize and automate data access and analysis across the company, working cross-functionally with tech, science, and business teams. Responsibilities include enabling teams for scale by building and operating a data platform supporting diverse data types and experimental contexts, mentoring and coaching team members, and fostering a data-driven culture by collaborating with stakeholders to maximize data value. The role requires 5+ years in a technical data role, 2+ years managing data engineers, a people-first mindset, and a willingness to learn new technologies. The tech stack includes Python, dbt, Big Query, Postgres, Fivetran, Prefect, Looker, Spotfire, Atlan, and GCP. The position is hybrid, based in either New York or Salt Lake City, with 50% in-office presence expected. Recursion values integrity, care, active learning, urgency, ownership, and collaboration.
